Nuclear Shockwave

Save yourself, when the light comes flickering
a nuclear candle in the bright noon sky
duck inside, down to the basement
where we huddle beside the old refrigerator
Then the nuclear shockwave
warm bath of radiated light
in the white light heat wave
oh I think I see the face of God
as I am split
Dust to dust, eyes to eyelids
skin to cement, mind to light
time is still, we're all dreaming
I dream of lying, in my lover's embrace
(chorus)

Current Fiction

O I cast my line out straight as the walls were tightening
the umbrella lover walks with me
thru the rain
by the swollen creek
I can see the power lines react with the lightening
images from the television
burned on
to my waking vision
there's a brand new rip that runs down
Allen Ginsburg's pant leg
and the Poet in his wisdom
says "I like a little air on my leg"
O the anti bodies got my body
this gunfighter disease
only speaks
with a six gun
shoved hard into my gut
and when I least can deal with it
he shoots one
there's a brand new crack that runs thru
all the faces on my TV
and the Pundits in their wisdom
say "I like my job on TV"
O but I ain't down
not like I used to be
cause there's little bodies
little bodies
gonna cure my disease
O and I ain't down
not like I used to be
O my body
O my body
feels like a disease
